Join Forrest Yoga & TRE® Instructor Aviva Levine for this 2-hour workshop to discover safe techniques to help you find more comfort, ease and vitality in your back. Designed for anyone suffering from chronic or sporadic back pain, tension and/or weakness. This workshop consists of a truly all levels Forrest Yoga-inspired sequence to enliven the core and strengthen the back, followed by TRE® (tension releasing exercises).
ABOUT TRE®: Through neurogenic tremors, TRE® encourages the body to release both new and old tension patterns beginning with the psoas muscle, which spans from the 12th thoracic vertebrae and lowest rib to each of the 5 lumbar vertebrae and flows down through the abdominal core and pelvis to attach to the top of the thigh bone. The psoas is often referred to as our fight, flight or freeze muscle and it tightens and contracts in response to everyday stress. A constantly contracting psoas can lead to a host of painful conditions including low back pain, sacroiliac pain, sciatica, disc problems, spondylolysis, scoliosis as well as hip degeneration, knee pain, menstruation pain, infertility, and digestive problems. When the psoas begins to release, it often communicates to the rest of the body that it is safe to let go of habitual tension within the entire body, including the vital back.
