Tired of waking up sore and stiff? Do you miss the strength, flexibility and vitality of your youth? Well then, Therapeutic Posture Stretch (TPS) is for you!

Come learn the combination to unlock your neck, shoulders, feet, low back, and more.
It is commonly believed that with aging comes pain. Whether you are a novice or seasoned athlete, or new to exercise altogether, this class is for you! All levels of fitness are welcome.

Yin & Restorative Series with Catina Harvey

Saturdays,  September 28th, October 26th, November 23rd
12:00 –1:00pm

Both Yin and Yang yoga styles move energy throughout the body and help improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Yin yoga also offers something that Yang yoga does not; an emphasis on stillness and longer holds. Most forms of yoga focus on building muscle strength and flexibility while Yin yoga centers on stretching deeper connective tissues, such as the ligaments, tendons, and deep fascia tissue which surrounds the muscles.

If you are looking to improve your joint health, increase mobility, improve organ function, relieve stress, create emotional healing and invite stillness into your life, join me for a series of passive practices that will help bring balance to the Yang lifestyle.
Please wear comfortable yoga clothing.

Strength and Ease in Arm Balances

Saturday, September 28th 1:30-3:30pm

This workshop, taught by Iryna Lymar, will redefine foundational postures by applying various techniques for shoulder stabilization and core strengthening. We will focus on principles for healthy alignment of the hands, wrists, elbows and shoulders. Some challenging asanas will be broken down in an approachable way for practitioners at different levels. Special attention will be given to the role of the breath and we will also learn dynamic transitions while entering and exiting several arm balances. We will explore Chaturanga Dandasana, Bakasana (Crow Pose), Bhujapidasana (Shoulder-Pressing Pose), Eka Pada Koundiniyasana (Sage Koudinya’s Pose) and many others!

Iryna’s yoga journey started at the footsteps of Himalayas in India. From there she ventured through China and eventually reached California, where she now teaches throughout the Bay Area. Her yoga teachings are inspired by teachers Devorah Sacks, Saraswathi Jois, Mark Whitwell and Laruga Glaser.

Practioners of all levels are welcome to join the workshop.

Yoga Nidra with Anne Gregory

Saturdays, September 14th, October 19th, November 16th, 1:00pm-2:00pm

Yoga Nidra, or “Yogic Sleep”, is a state between sleeping and waking. You will be guided on a systematic journey to the deep, quiet layers of the self. This class will begin with gentle yoga postures to help you transition from the external world toward the more inner landscape. The second half of the class is a guided relaxation/meditation done lying down in a comfortable reclining position.

Aside from being relaxing, restorative and restful, studies have shown that Yoga Nidra can:

  • Ease insomnia
  • Decrease anxiety
  • Alleviate stress
  • Reduce PTSD
  • Decrease chronic pain
  • Heighten awareness and focus
  • Transform negative habits, behaviors and ways of thinking
  • Foster feelings of peace, calm, and clarity

Yoga & TRE for Chronic Pain

Saturday, September 14th, 3pm-5pm

Chronic pain is not a simple sensation. It is strongly influenced by the ways in which the brain processes the pain signals. In fact, chronic pain can provoke strong emotional reactions, such as fear, anxiety, or even terror, depending on what the individual believes about their pain signals.

If there is any good news about chronic pain, it is that, to a certain extent, the brain can learn how to manage and decrease the sensation of pain using a combination of deep focus, breathing, tension release and imagery techniques.

Join Aviva Levine for a 2-hour workshop integrating visualization, Yoga and TRE to invite rewiring the brain from persistently communicating pain signals that no longer have injury to heal. Come explore; Neuroplasticity (the ability of the brain to change continuously throughout life), how emotions can affect the experience of pain and gain tools to move towards a more hopeful, safe and resilient relationship with pain.
