Friday October 26th – 7:00pm-8:30pm
Kick off your weekend with live music that will inspire you to move through an open level yoga class taught by Abigail Rauber. This month we are joined yet again by a reappearance of Reisender!
Reisender began when songwriter Paul Conroy bought a neglected mandolin for 40 euros from a Flea Market in Stuttgart, Germany. The first few songs were written under bridges and on street corners of 20 different cities in Europe. From its origin as “Strassenmusik” (street music), Reisender embodies the spirit of the traveler, who embraces change and transience, especially in the face of adversity and hardship.
Whether you are new to yoga or a long time yogi, this class will invite you to deepen your experience of Vinyasa Flow. Through music and movement, we will find a sense of play in our practice, learning to listen to the body’s intuition, and how to move like your best self.
Normal class rates apply, please reserve your spot here!

The Psoas, a bio-intelligent tissue often referred to as the ‘muscle of the soul,’ is the deepest muscle of the human body. Its resilience affects structural balance, flexibility, strength, range of motion, joint mobility, and organ functioning. The stress of our fast-paced modern lifestyle can chronically trigger and tighten the Psoas – making it literally ready to run, fight or freeze. This can lead to a host of painful conditions including low back pain, sacroiliac pain, sciatica, disc problems, scoliosis, hip degeneration, knee pain, menstruation pain, infertility, immune system and adrenal gland depletion and digestive complications. All levels welcome.
Thursday January 10th 7-9:30pm
Join hip hop artist, yoga teacher, and author MC YOGI for an uplifting & inspiring practice filled with insights and stories from his journey of finding yoga, love and leading a purpose-filled, creative life.

This is a great opportunity to gather in community and deepen our understanding of the practices that we all love. This event is open to all, it is donation based and all proceeds will be donated to The Midway Shelter of Alameda supporting women and children.
We will provide some light snacks and refreshments to enjoy with the film.
Join Aviva Levine E-RYT, YACEP + Certified TRE Provider for a workshop dedicated to supporting the health of the SacroIliac (SI) joints. This workshop addresses common symptoms of SI joint dysfunction including pain in the lower back and buttock as well as pain radiating to lower hip, groin or upper thigh. We will focus on poses that should be done daily and include time to build a custom personal practice to take home.
Although usually one sided, in rarer occasions dysfunction can occur in both. Other symptoms could be numbness, tingling or a feeling of weakness in the leg. Symptoms may worsen with sitting, standing, sleeping, walking or climbing stairs. Often the SI joint is painful sitting or sleeping on the affected side. Some people have difficulty riding in a car or standing, sitting or walking too long. Pain can be worse with transitional movements (going from sit to stand), standing on one leg or climbing stairs.
This is an ALL LEVELS workshop and will include elements of Forrest Yoga, Pilates + TRE (tension stress + trauma release exercises.)
Please bring a journal or notebook.
This workshop will kick off our Elements of Yoga Series!
The sun salutations awaken, warm and prime the body for a strong yoga practice. In this workshop we will learn and review breathing techniques that support the sun salutations as well as break down each element of sun salutations A & B. This class will teach both beginners and experienced yogis basic anatomy, mobility and how to self-adjust with intention and intelligence. By moving through postures that support the sun salutations and learning how to use props, yogis will walk away with more knowledge of how their own bodies can get the most out of the sun salutations.
This workshop will conclude with an open-forum question and answer session — although questions will also be welcomed throughout the workshop.
$40 Early Bird | $45 Day Of | 20% Off for Symmetry Members
Special price for students who wish to pre-register for the whole series: $175 ($35/session) instead of $225.
