Kirsten is from Long Beach, California and began practicing yoga in 2009 after spending several months volunteering in India. Through yoga and meditation, Kirsten steadily found the ability to carry a sense peace with her off of her mat. She wanted to share this experience, so she completed a 200 Hour training at Yoga Tree in San Francisco. Kirsten believes in creating an atmosphere where all students can find their own way with yoga.
She teaches a vigorous Vinyasa flow and her approach to teaching has been described as both fun and compassionate, while direct and informative. She also teaches yoga to teenagers in high schools by using adapted breathing and meditation techniques designed to help cultivate mindfulness, self-confidence, kindness and compassion. It brings Kirsten immense joy to share the transformative power of yoga with communities all across the bay.
