Power Plate® with Alana Woodschan: a remarkable complement to your yoga practice!

What is Power Plate®?

Power Plate® machines use the principles of Acceleration Training™ to stimulate the body’s natural response to vibration. This training creates instability in the human body, as with each vibration the body is forced to perform reflexive muscle actions, multiple times per second.

The net result of this dynamic training is increased strength and power which serves as a natural complement to your low plank/chaturanga dandasanas and  the many yoga classes offered at Symmetry!

Meet Alana!

Alana was introduced to the world of fit and wellness during childhood, and has been a Fitness Professional for the last seven years. Her style of training incorporates core stability, dynamic muscle strength and mobility enhancement through the use of techniques such as myofascial release, isolated muscle activation, and balancing drills. When training, her goal is to recognize, address and strengthen areas of the body that is most challenged. Along with her studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Alana has developed the understanding that in order to gain, we must retrain- body, mind, soul and spirit.
