It is widely known that Yoga can bring about a sense of calm and well-being when practiced regularly, but what about those of us that deal with high levels of stress, daily anxiety, and even panic attacks?! When in the throes of anxiety, it can be a challenge to set aside time and mind space for a full yoga practice, fortunately, incorporating small and simple elements of principles of Yoga can make a huge impact on overall wellness. In moments of high stress and anxiety, we can turn to our very own ever-growing Yoga Tool Box: A menagerie of yogic concepts to pull from and utilize for healing.
In this workshop, we will explore practical tools that we can incorporate into our lives in times of need. We will discuss and practice visualizations and meditation, controlled breathwork, mantra and journaling, and end with mindful movement geared towards releasing anxious emotions.
Please bring a pen and your journal. Pens and paper will be available if needed.
